Hanna Civil Engineering started life as a Sole Trader in 1993 working from a small yard in Wakefield and within 3 years we had secured a freehold site and proceeded to build our own offices and workshop. Due to continued expansion we eventually outgrew the Wakefield depot and in 2015 relocated to a purpose built 2 acre freehold site with offices, workshop and storage yard on the Euro port industrial estate adjacent the M62 at Castleford.

The new site gives us immediate access on to the motorway networks and offers great potential for growing the business. Unlike many of our competitors all the equipment we use is owned by the company and not hired in and that includes the small day to day items such as whacker plates and stihl saws right up to our Volvo A30F dump trucks and Doosan DX380 excavators.

As a company we are always looking at ways to improve how we operate and raise the standards of work we produce and we were one of the first companies to switch completely to cabbed dumpers back in 2017 and our latest target is to replace all our diesel powered site welfare units with modern Green Space Eco units. In 2022 we achieved ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 accreditation which demonstrates that the company has robust management systems in place both in the office and across all our sites which meet the very high standard required by the UKAS certification body.
